This website (aemliving.com) is the corporate website of AEM Living, the group comprising the three retirement villages' brands Audley Villages, Elysian Residences, and Mayfield Villages. This site is a corporate information resource. It is not intended to be used for booking, purchasing, or managing care or property services.

Our individual brand websites - Audley Villages, Elysian Residences and Mayfield Villages - are customer-facing and have their own privacy policies covering enquiries, sales, and homeowner and care data. This policy covers only the data collected through aemliving.com.

AEM Living ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at:

What personal data we collect

Because this is a corporate site rather than a customer-facing one, we collect very little personal data. It falls into two categories:

1. Website usage data When you visit the site, we (and our analytics providers, where used) may automatically collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and time spent on the site. See the Cookies section below for detail.

2. Enquiry form data This site includes one enquiry form, for suppliers, potential investors, land owners, and media contacts. If you use it, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The content of your message

We use this only to respond to your enquiry.

We do not collect financial data, health data, or any special category data through this site, and the form does not require you to submit any of these. This is a corporate website intended for business, supplier, media and professional audiences. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and the site is not directed at children.

How we use your data
  • Enquiry form details - To respond to your supplier or media enquiry - Legitimate interest, responding to enquiries you have initiated.
  • Website usage/analytics data - To understand how the site is used and to improve it - Legitimate interest / consent (for non-essential cookies).

We do not use data collected on this site for direct marketing, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies

This site uses a limited number of cookies, which may include:

  • Essential cookies - required for the site to function correctly.
  • Analytics cookies - we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate visitor behaviour, such as which pages are visited and how the site is used. These are only set with your consent, managed through our CookieBot banner.

You can control or withdraw cookie consent at any time through your browser settings.

Who we share data with

We may share the limited data described above with:

  • IT and website hosting/service providers who support this site on our behalf (eg: Versantus our website developer, or Acquia hosting).
  • Google, via Google Analytics 4, where you have consented to analytics cookies. Google may process this data outside the UK/EEA; Google's Standard Contractual Clauses cover this transfer.

Any third party we share data with is only permitted to process it on our instructions and is required to keep it secure. We do not transfer this data outside the UK/EEA other than through the standard operations of the providers above, who maintain appropriate safeguards (eg: Standard Contractual Clauses) where applicable.

We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry form submissions for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping. Analytics data is retained in line with our GA4 property's retention settings.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Ask us to restrict or object to our processing of your data
  • Withdraw consent (eg: for analytics cookies) at any time

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at dataprotectionofficer@audleygroup.com. If you are unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if the site's functionality changes. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
