CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Prior to founding Elysian in 2013, Gavin spent 15 years in real estate investment and development with institutional firms in London and Chicago. He was an Associate Partner at Brockton Capital LLP, a London-based real estate private equity fund with £1.3bn of assets under management, where he spent seven years leading development management for high-end residential schemes and several operating businesses owned by Brockton funds. Before that, he was a Senior Vice President at Mesirow Financial Real Estate in Chicago ($70bn assets under management), where he was responsible for residential and mixed-use developments for four years. As Chief Executive Officer, Gavin leads the combined business.

AUDLEY FOUNDER

As the founder of Audley Villages and Mayfield Villages, and the Chair of the Associated Retirement Community Operators (ARCO), Nick is one of the pioneers of the UK retirement sector. He began his career in the 1980s, when he founded, built and sold Beaumont Healthcare, one of the first corporate providers of private pay nursing care homes. In 1991 he created Audley to develop a portfolio of private retirement villages, and has since acted as an adviser to public and private sector organisations across the sector. Nick continues to champion the vision that has guided him for over three decades: helping people live better, more independent lives for longer.
 

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Christian has over 25 years of experience in operations and senior leadership across hospitality and real estate. He began his career in hospitality with Trusthouse Forte, IHG, Thistle Hotels and Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, before moving into real estate through the Build to Rent sector with Get Living. He has held senior roles spanning operations, technology, brand marketing and customer functions, from single-site operations to multi-site portfolios and head office leadership, with experience in both the UK and international markets. Christian provides hands-on executive oversight of the day-to-day operations of AEM Living, alongside strategy and operational support.

DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY, CUSTOMER AND BRAND

Sandy is a specialist in retirement living and has worked with some of Australia's largest property firms. Prior to joining Elysian Residences in 2022, he led a national team at Aveo Group, Australia's largest retirement operator, whose villages are home to more than 14,000 residents. At AEM Living, Sandy oversees strategic product direction for new projects and the development of the group's customer-facing proposition, alongside brand and marketing leadership across Audley Villages, Elysian Residences and Mayfield Villages.

DIRECTOR OF COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS

Ian has spent 25 years leading operations, transformation and growth across consumer-facing, multi-site businesses, the last eight in institutional real estate and retirement living. Before joining AEM Living, he held COO and Executive Director roles at Get Living, Node Living, Heim Global Investor and Moat Homes, leading operational platforms of up to 22,000 homes. Earlier in his career, he spent almost a decade in senior operational leadership with David Lloyd Clubs and Compass Group. At AEM Living, Ian focuses on scaling the operating platform, improving commercial performance and enhancing customer experience.

DIRECTOR OF TRANSACTIONS AND INVESTMENT

Giles has over a decade of experience in real estate investment and capital markets. Before joining Elysian Residences in 2016, he spent five years in the Central London Capital Markets team at Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was responsible for the acquisition and disposal of £500m of commercial property. At AEM Living, Giles leads the acquisition of new projects, working alongside the business's debt and equity partners, and oversees the financial analysis of existing and potential schemes. Giles is a Chartered Surveyor and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Mark has spent his career shaping major mixed-use developments through the design, development and planning process. He joined Elysian Residences in 2017 from Grosvenor, where he spent 12 years as a Development Director working on some of the UK's most significant schemes, including a 12-acre site in Bermondsey, planning permission for the £500m Peninsula Hotel and Residences at Hyde Park Corner, and Liverpool One, a 42-acre, £1bn mixed-use development. Before Grosvenor, Mark qualified as a solicitor with Ashurst. At AEM Living, Mark leads planning and development across the group's pipeline of new villages and residences.

GENERAL COUNSEL

Mark is a solicitor with over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate law. He spent nearly a decade in the City acting for major institutional property companies, at Nabarro (now CMS) and Ashurst, before moving in-house in 2011 to work on the London 2012 Olympics for Westfield Stratford City. He went on to join Intu Shopping Centres, covering M&A, financing, compliance and governance. Mark joined Audley Group in 2021 and leads the Legal, Risk and Assurance functions at AEM Living. He is the ARCO Compliance Officer and Chair of the Audley Foundation, a charity combatting loneliness among older people.
